
The Rev. Marcia Patton is the first Executive Minister of Evergreen Association of American Baptist Churches, installed in June of 2004. She worked with the organizers of Evergreen Association, a group of churches invited by the American Baptist Churches of Northwest to form a new region. Evergreen Association is unique among American Baptists because it is organized around ethnic caucuses and does its work by consensus. Evergreen is serious about building bridges of relationship among its ethnically diverse churches.
Marcia earned a Ph.D. from Temple University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a Masters of Divinity and Masters of Arts in Religion from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary (currently known as Palmer Seminary). She was born in Western Pennsylvania and reared in southeastern Michigan. She earned her Bachelors at Michigan State University.
She served as Associate Minister for churches in Hatboro, Pennsylvania, Salt Lake City, Utah and Somerville New Jersey. She was ordained at First Baptist Church, Salt Lake City, Utah. Marcia served as Associate Executive Minister with the American Baptist Churches of the Northwest for 13 years.

E. Clem Winbush currently serves as the Minister of Mission Support and Administration for the Evergreen Association of American Baptist Churches. She is an associate of the Natural Evangelism Team (NET) for the region. She has found her niche in working with God's people in American Baptist congregations.
She earned a BS degree in English Education from Savannah State University, Savannah GA; a Master of Administration and a Washington State Principal Certificate through Western Washington University, Bellingham. Previously Clem served for 21 years as an educator in the public schools of Anne Arundel County Maryland, and Renton and Bellevue WA. Most of her career in public school education was spent working in Middle Schools with 6th - 8th graders.
Clem and her husband James are the parents of two adult daughters - Dehlia and Rosalyn, and have two grandchildren-Marionna and Demetri.

Rev. Boyer became Pastor of Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Lynnwood in 2005, following a 27 year career in professional and academic theatre as an actor, director, technician, administrator and educator.
In addition to serving Evergreen Association as Ministry Associate, he represents Evergreen on the Board of Directors of the Church Council of Greater Seattle. He also acts as convener for the South Snohomish County Ministerial Association and is a panelist for the City of Lynnwood’s community grants program and an official “mentor” for students at Fuller Seminary Northwest.
He is an alumni of Rice University and of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. During his theatrical career, he was Coordinator for the acclaimed Humana Festival of New American Plays at Actors Theatre of Louisville for four years and served as administrative head for such theatres as A.D. Players, Stage One: The Louisville Children’s Theatre, New Harmony Theatre, Lincoln Amphitheatre, and Seattle’s Taproot Theatre Company. He also taught Theatre Administration at Bellarmine University in Louisville and on selected topics at University of Southern Indiana, where he also managed the theatre program. His career includes producing at the New Victory Theatre, part of the New 42nd Street Project in Manhattan, as well as producing two video projects in conjunction with the BBC. He has also served on many arts, social service and other community boards and continues to act as a consultant for theatres and non-profits across the country.
A native of St. Louis, he counts as his most profound blessings his marriage of 26 years to Connie, and their children: Kit, Colleen & Sean.


Minister Ken Curl serves as President of the Evergreen Association of American Baptist Churches, USA. He attends Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Baptist Church in Renton, WA.
Ken graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. He is currently employed by King County as a Lead Contract Specialist for the procurement of Architectural and Engineering and Professional services.
Also, Ken serves on the Board of Directors of Burst for Prosperity, a non-profit organization dedicated to the reduction of poverty in King County and Washington state, and as an Advisor to the Renton Black Parents Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to the educational enrichment and achievement of all children in the Renton School District. He believes in the social gospel and is involved in several other community organizations including ARISE, MLK Rites of Passage, and the African American Cultural Center of Kent and South King County.
He is married to Gila Burton-Curl, and they have four children between them.
